Portrait is a sculpture composed of three interconnected cubes made of stainless steel. The upper mirrored cube symbolizes reflection and self-awareness. By reflecting both the viewer and the surrounding environment, it makes the viewer an integral part of the artwork, uniting the object, the observer, and the space into a single whole. The middle deformed cube, painted red, represents progress and transformation. Its altered form suggests that development is inevitably accompanied by change, which can be both constructive and destructive. The lower cube refers to a television test signal displayed during broadcast interruptions. It symbolizes the need to pause and reflect, reminding us of the importance of moments in which we can reassess our direction and determine the course of our future path. Together, the three elements form a metaphor for the individual existing between self-discovery, growth, and the conscious choice of one's own path. Stainless steel 2021
